Port Blair, Aug 8: Inner Wheel Club (IWC), Port Blair organised 30th Installation Ceremony on 06th August 2022 at Sea Shells Coral Cove Hotel. Inner wheel club is an international women's organization to create friendship, service and understanding. It is situated in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members.
Mrs. Kavita Udhay kumar, Chairperson, PBMC was the Chief Guest and Mrs. Premila Kumari, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha was the guest of honour in the presence of Mrs. Ratna Kanan, Swami Shudhanand Ji, Chinmaya as special guests at the event.

Port Blair, Aug. 10: During the RTPCR test conducted on the incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday, one person was found COVID positive. Today, 10 flights with 1598 passengers arrived, out of which, 1444 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 113 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Aug. 10: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,94,304 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23923 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 526 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 162856.

Port Blair, Aug 8: Shri Vishal Jolly National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has requested to hold regular Circuit Bench of the Learned Central Administrative Tribunal at Port Blair in every successive month or in the event if the same is not possible, then in such eventuality it was also requested to exempt the Andaman & Nicobar Islands from the jurisdiction of the Central Administrative Tribunal, Kolkata Bench and further enable the Islanders to file service matters before the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta, Circuit Bench at Port Blair through a letter addressed to Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Hon’ble Union Minister of Law & Justice.
